The eXpress account is a declining balance account available to currently registered students, faculty, and staff for use at on-campus and select off-campus businesses similar to a prepaid debit card. Everyone with a Tommie Card has an eXpress account, you only need to deposit funds to use it.
The eXpress Account can be used on campus at any Dining Services location (for students with Dining Dollars, your Dining Dollars will be used first), UST Bookstores, Tommie Central, Tommie Shop, Summit Marketplace and select vending machines.
You can also use your eXpress account at several off-campus businesses in the neighborhood. You can visit the eXpress Account webpage for a complete list of businesses that accept eXpress funds using your Tommie Card.
Both accounts are on your Tommie Card. Dining dollars (previously flex dollars) are attached to meal plans and can only be used to purchase food items at dining locations on campus. Dining dollars expire at the end of the semester and any remaining balance is forfeited. (Most students check their balances the last month of the semester and spend accordingly). If you run out of dining dollars there is no way to purchase more. eXpress dollars (aka eXpress Account, eXpress funds) are similar to prepaid debit cards. You need to deposit money into your account before you can use it. The only way to deposit money into your eXpress account is with GET Funds (on a computer or with the free app for your phone). Once on the GET Funds app you can make a deposit with a credit card, or by using the Bill Me function, which charges the amount to your tuition account. If students make a deposit using a credit card, they will receive a 5% bonus at the time of the deposit.
eXpress dollars can be used on and off-campus for anything except alcohol, tobacco or gift cards. Click HERE for a list of businesses that accept eXpress. Unlike dining dollars, eXpress dollars do not expire at the end of the semester - they carry over from year to year. Once a deposit has been made to a student's eXpress account, it cannot be withdrawn. Refunds will only be issued on balances of $10.00 or more when a student graduates, or formally withdraws from the University. The credit will be applied to their student tuition account.
GET Funds is a website (and mobile app) that allows Tommie Card holders to manage their eXpress account. Not only does it offer the ability to deposit funds to an eXpress account 24/7; it also provides relevant information about account balances, transctions, and spending history.
Simple! Just log into get.cbord.com/stthomas (or open the mobile app) using your University of St. Thomas username and password from any computer or mobile device with internet access. Select the "Add Funds" option. Next, enter the amount and type of deposit (either charge to a credit card or to your student tuition account) and then enter the credit card information if applicable.
The University reserves the right to inactivate the Bill Me option or the use of the eXpress account at any time for any reason.
If you received an email with a link from the GET Funds system:
Simply click on the link; you will be taken to the credit card deposit screen in GET Funds for your student. Select the Plan (there is only one option) and amount ($50 minimum.) Enter your credit card data and email address. Confirm the purchase and you are done!
If you are not using an emailed link, but instead are entering through the online portal:
First things first - be sure you know your student's University of St. Thomas ID number (and last name.) Once you have those two bits of data, visit get.cbord.com/stthomas. On the right side of the site under "Parents, Guardians or Other Relatives:" select the link that states "Click Here to Deposit into a Student's Account." Enter the student ID and last name in the fields as requested. Select the Plan (there is only one option) and amount ($50 minimum.) Enter your credit card data and email address. Confirm the purchase and you are done!

Yes and no. All credit card transactions will be charged a $2.00 convenience fee. However, students choosing to add funds by charging their student account via Bill Me will not incur a fee.

Deposits of $50 or more paid by credit card will receive a bonus. Deposits charged to the student account via Bill Me are not eligible for bonus amounts.
Funds are available for immediate use once the transaction is approved and complete.
No. Parents can only get into GET to add eXpress funds. Only the student can log in with their username and password to see their account balances or transaction history. Students are over 18, so we cannot give any of that information to parents. Parents will need to get that information from their student.
