2018-19 Peer Ministers!

Continuing our introductions, meet the next set of Peer Ministers.

Derrick Diedrich & Tony Preston - Brady Hall

Derrick Diedrich

Heyo! My name is Derrick and I am a die-hard Tommie from the Heart of Wisconsin. I am going into my second year studying Marketing with a Minor in Catholic Studies. I don't play any instruments and I've never left the country. I haven't received any Nobel Prizes (yet) nor do I know anyone famous, but I did grow up on a farm. I love being involved on campus as shown through my proud memberships in Catholic Men's Leadership, USG, and Ski & Snowboard Club. I love meeting new people so don't be scared to come say hi! See ya on campus!

 Tony Preston

Hey there Tommies! My Name is Tony Preston, I'm a senior here studying Social Work and Philosophy, and I am absolutely stoked to be a Peer Minister this year! I'm a Michigan native with an ever-growing passion for the great outdoors. In my free time I'm either training for my next marathon, whipping up another one of my culinary masterpieces, or spending countless hours doing what I do best, TALKING! I'm a raging extrovert with a deep love for God's greatest creation and mankind. I believe that life is truly a journey, and no journey is complete without a good companion to walk with you on the way. It is my hope that I can be that companion for you, so if you ever need anything, or just want to talk, know that my door is always open (both literally and metaphorically)!  I would like to end with a quote from one of my favorite Pixar movies, Toy Story, to let you know that "You've got a friend in me"!

VISION 2018-19

Night Light

Take a mid-week break with Jesus! Join us every Wednesday from 9-10 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel for Eucharistic Adoration ending with Compline (Night Prayer). Depending on the Wednesday, the Adoration time will be in silence or with music. Come recharge by spending some time with God and your community.

Catholic Conversations this Week

Got questions about the Catholic faith? Come ask 'em!

Catholic Conversations meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 7:30-8:30 PM in ASC 237 and offers you an opportunity to come and informally talk about your questions with a group of fellow students and a couple of our priest chaplains from Campus Ministry. You can even ask your questions anonymously, so this is the perfect chance to ask the burning question you never felt you could, or to talk with others about theirs. See you there!

October is the Month of the Rosary

Dominican Come & See

Wondering if Christ might be calling you to serve Him and the Church as a preacher of the Gospel? Come and see! The Dominicans of the Province of St. Albert the Great will be hosting a Come & See discernment weekend in St. Louis, Missouri [October 12-14], for young men considering a vocation to be a Dominican friar (both priests and brothers). If you feel drawn to a life of study, community, prayer, and preaching, this weekend is a perfect opportunity to see if Dominican life is for you.
