Homecoming 2018

Campus Ministry students got into the spirit of homecoming last week, participating in the Anderson Student Center window decorating contest and the golf cart parade through campus. Thanks to all who joined in the fun.

2018-19 Peer Ministers!

Continuing our introductions, our final two sets of Peer Ministers live over on South Campus as well.

John Lucke & Billy Siebenaler - Cretin Hall

Hey guys, I'm John.  I'm a senior this year with a degree in Psychology, Exercise Science, and Catholic Studies, and I'll be one of the Peer Ministers this year. I love life, adventure, truth, having fun, lifting weights, and laughing.  Most importantly, I love my Faith, and it inspires me to be Christ to my neighbors as well as I am able. I will be available all hours of the day for any of your needs. Life is better together! Please come and talk to me, my bet is we're already friends.

Hey there! My name is Billy, and I am thrilled to be one of your Peer Ministers this year! I won't tell you what my major is, that way you'll have an easy question to ask me in person...which reminds me...I LOVE conversation! Whether it's a deep conversation or just chatting about where I am from (which I'm also saving for an easy ice-breaker question), if you ever need someone to talk and/or listen to, I'm your guy! I also enjoy playing sports, being outdoors, and having quiet time in prayer. I can't wait to adventure through life with you all this fall!

2018-19 VISION Team Leaders

Over the next few weeks, we'll introduce you to the VISION team leaders for each of the upcoming January trips. There is still time to come to an information session to hear about these trips. Check the schedule at this link...https://www.stthomas.edu/serviceandsocialjustice/serviceprograms/vision/infosessions/. All sessions will be held in the Campus Ministry office, ASC 207.

Meet Sunita Dharod and Maddie Harvey, Leaders for the Bolivia Trip

Hey everyone my name is Sunita or Suni for short. I am a senior studying Justice and Peace and minoring in American Culture and Difference. I have been a part of VISION since freshman year and am also involved in food justice club, students for justice and peace club, and multicultural clubs like ASIA and HOLA. I love running in my free time, editing and taking pictures, and drinking dangerous amounts of coffee. Buy me a bag of Takkis and you've won my heart. Can't wait to talk to you about VISION!!!

Hi, I'm Maddie! I am a junior from St. Peter, Minnesota studying Communication and Journalism with a minor in Justice and Peace Studies. I am a new-comer to the VISION community but am more excited than ever to be here. In the past year, I have worked as an Orientation Leader here at St. Thomas and spent a semester studying abroad in South Africa. In the coming year, I will be working in the Office of Study Abroad as a peer advisor and working as a reporter for TommieMedia. When I'm off the clock you can find me perfecting my handstand (It's going... alright), snooping around in bookstores and searching for the best chai tea latte in town. I'm stoked for many exciting adventures to come!

Night Light

Take a mid-week break with Jesus! Join us every Wednesday from 9-10 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel for Eucharistic Adoration ending with Compline (Night Prayer). Depending on the Wednesday, the Adoration time will be in silence or with music. Come recharge by spending some time with God and your community.
