Opportunities:

Would you like to become a Retreat Volunteer?

If you have been part of or attended one of our retreats before and would like to be part of our retreat team, consider volunteering for this semester's retreats.

Retreat
volunteers are part of the planning process and serve by leading portions of the retreats, including small groups. Consider sharing your time and talents as your own faith grows and is shared with others.

If interested please connect with Marta Pereira mipereira@stthomas.edu or email spirituality@stthomas.edu

Liturgical Ministers!

We are seeking volunteers to serve in the various liturgical ministry roles for the Spring Semester. Schedules change, students graduate, new students arrive, and you may want to serve in an additional area of ministry. Now is a good time to get involved!

We are especially in need of Altar Servers for weekend masses. This important ministry is easy to learn, and is a uniquely prayerful way to participate in the liturgy.

Sign-up sheets will be available in the Chapel this week. Or, e-mail Dr. Jill to volunteer or ask additional questions. jill.nennmann@stthomas.edu

Ash Wednesday

The season of Lent is quickly approaching. As we prepare to take this journey through the season of Lent, it is a good time to take a deep look at our lives, and correct the missteps that may have caused us to wander off course.

The following liturgies will be offered on Ash Wednesday, including the special penitential act of being signed with ashes.

Wednesday, March 1

  •  7 AM: Mass

  • 10:00 AM: Liturgy of the Word (no Mass)

  • 12:10 PM: Mass

  • 5:00 PM: Mass

All liturgies will include the blessing and distribution of ashes.

Holy Week - Save the Date(s)!

This year, the Paschal Triduum will be celebrated at St. Thomas in its entirety. As the high point of the entire liturgical year, the Triduum celebrates not only what once happened to Jesus, but also what is happening now among us as a people called to conversion, gathered in faith, and gifted with the Spirit of holiness.

Make plans to attend this set of liturgies, and invite families, friends, and neighbors to join our community at this most sacred time.
