Center for Campus Ministry E-News for December 4

We hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving with family and friends. Now as we enter the season of Advent, we invite you to join us for a series of daily reflections offered through the Advent and Christmas seasons. These reflections are offered not only by our Center for Campus Ministry staff but also other faculty and staff as well as students throughout the University. If you missed the first couple offerings you can find them on the Office for Spirituality's website. At that same site you may also subscribe to the rest of the series.

Also, to help us get the season off to a great start, Fr. Michael Joncas will present a Morning of Reflection for Faculty and Staff on Friday, December 8th, 9:00 - 11:00am. There is still time to RSVP by sending an email to the Office for Spirituality.

Peer Ministery Hits the Volleyball Court

On November 18th, 16 teams of Catholic young adults competed in the 60th semiannual Saint Lawrence Volleyball Invitational Tournament, hosted by the Newman Center at the University of Minnesota. St. Thomas was represented by members of the Campus Ministry Office as well as Saint Paul's Outreach. The students involved were Vincent Koehl, Kuba Bursey, Olivia Spanton, Gretta Utecht, Luke Utrie, Mikayla Anderson, Willie Kirchoff, Derek Vetsch and Craig Boster. Of the 16 teams, these students went on to win the Championship that afternoon winning the final game two sets to one after trailing by one set. Another tournament will occur in the spring around mid-April. If you would like to take part in this event contact Peer Minister Vincent Koehl (koeh1949@stthomas.edu) for more information.
