Services for Current Students
The graduate business programs’ student services office provides academic advising, identification of and direction to various St. Thomas resources, and co-curricular programming to help you succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
To connect to the broader OCB graduate business community outside the classroom, the student life team plans and manages several activities and events each year. Co-curricular programming includes:
Two Friday evenings during the fall and spring semesters.
Free beer, wine, soft drinks and pizza. There is also a guest speaker from the business world and plenty of opportunities for networking.
Career Camp Seminars and Career Skills Sessions
In collaboration with the Graduate Business Career Services Office, programs are offered throughout each spring and fall term either before classes or occasionally on a Saturday morning to help you manage your career development. Examples of topics include: networking, resume writing, salary negotiation, using LinkedIn and managing your personal brand.
Happy Half Hour
Networking breaks on the Minneapolis campus are offered fall and spring semesters the week before registration. Pick up information during class breaks about elective options and talk with advisers about upcoming registration. Refreshments are served.
Opus College of Business Events
As a student, you have many opportunities to hear from practitioners in the business community while networking with fellow students, staff, faculty and alumni.
