Research Interests

I am passionate about using research as a tool to tackle soil and water quality problems.

My current areas of interest are:

  • Green stormwater infrastructure for improved stormwater management of quantity (volume reduction and peak flow attenuation) and quality (of mainly nutrients, sediments, and heavy metals)
  • Soil greenhouse gas fluxes from natural and managed land uses
  • Nitrogen and phosphorus transformation and retention in soils
  • Nutrient leaching from composts
  • Phytoremediation of heavy metals
