Join us for a panel discussion with internationally renowned painter Liu Dan.

We will explore how Liu Dan’s life experiences, from his youth during the Cultural Revolution to his work as a professional painter in New York to his famed return to China in 2006, have informed his work. We will also learn how this extraordinary artist engages with both the Western art canon and China’s traditional painting heritage to create fresh new artistic perspectives in his highly detailed landscapes and portraits of objects.
