Master of Science - Health Care Communication

The Master of Science in Health Care Communication is an innovative, year-long program designed to merge health care industry knowledge with leading-edge communications expertise. Whether you are an experienced communicator with a desire to work in the health care sector, or a health care industry professional seeking to play a larger role in strategic communications, this degree program has been designed to give you the tools and confidence you need to achieve your goals.

Format: Blended

Tuition: $30,000 for 1-year program.

  • One new cohort starts each year in September.

  • Priority deadline is June 15

Delivery: 1 year program with a combination of on-campus, blended and fully online courses. On-campus meetings one Saturday every seven weeks.

Accreditation: HLC (Higher Learning Commission), AACSB (Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business International).

Our curriculum is a dynamic integration of theory and professional practice. Your instructors offer background information and models to explore and apply in class, while fellow students contribute their own communication experiences to discussions, both online and in the classroom. Insights are passed back and forth, allowing new knowledge and shared best practices to emerge.

  • First course delivered in late August in a week-long, all-day boot camp
  • Saturday classes meet once every 7 weeks with online coursework between in-person meetings
  • Two fully online courses (one fall, one spring)
  • Practicum starts after boot camp as a mentorship and culminates in a project completed in late summer
