Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students are able to compose simple sentences in the target languages, and comprehend the use of essential vocabulary (root words) in Latin. These skills not only allow students to have a deeper understanding of the vast influence of Latin in the English language, but also contribute to the ability to infer meaning from cognates and context. (reading, writing)  

  2. Students are able to listen and understand dictated passages as well as reproduce the text in writing. (dictation)
