Below are links to guidelines for the most commonly used documentation styles. These sites will help you:

  • format research papers,
  • format in-text citations (MLA and APA) and footnotes (Chicago),
  • create a "List of References" (APA) or a "Works Cited" page (MLA),
  • know what an abstract should contain (APA),
  • number your pages with proper headers (APA),
  • know if you should include a title page (APA yes, MLA no).
