Dr. Mark Stansbury-O’Donnell’s research area is Greek art history and archaeology, particularly narrative and the social/gender context of ancient art.  His regular classes include units on women and gender and he teaches one course devoted to women in ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art and culture (ARTH 260).  His recent work includes Vase Painting, Gender, and Social Identity in Archaic Athens (Cambridge University Press, 2006).
