Centering Prayer Group

Centering Prayer is a receptive, deep method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God's presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship.

Our weekly centering prayer group will combine time for exploring the foundational teachings and methods of centering prayer as it has been developed in the Christian tradition, as well as time to practice centering prayer together each week for approximately 20-30 minutes.  No prior experience is necessary and participants are encouraged to drop in whenever their schedule allows.
