Green Jobs/Industries Panel: We brought 4 industry experts to UST to discuss the current climate of "green" industries, initiatives, and jobs.
Sam's Club- Environmental Sustainability for Business- Through a partnership with the local Sam's Club we are working with two local businesses to make them more environmentally sustainable.
Financial Literacy at Hiawatha Leadership Academy- SIFE is proud to partner with Wells Fargo to give a presentation at Hiawatha Leadership Academy on basic financial management.
Ethics Book/Hiawatha Leadership Academy Visit- Over the past year, we have written and illustrated a children's book which discusses business ethics. We are bringing the 3rd grade students from HLA to visit UST and learn about business ethics, and what it's like to go to college.
Junior Achievement- SIFE is partnering with Junior Achievement to teach 6th grade students about market economics and financial literacy.
Selby Avenue Entrepreneurship School- We are working with a group of business owners on Selby Avenue to create an entrepreneurship program for local middle school students.
Edun Live U T-shirts- SIFE is working on creating their own chapter of Edun Live U T-shirt distribution. This group works with villages in Africa to turn cotton into high quality, organic t-shirts. Proceeds from sales will benefit the UST SIFE team, as well as provide sustainable income for the African villages.
RecycleMania- UST SIFE will be partnering this spring with the Student Sustainability Committee to promote a nationwide recycling competition on campus.
Campbell's Let's Can Hunger Competition- SIFE will be partnering with Campbell's to fight hunger through food drive and other sustainable food initiatives.
