The Pre-Health Professions Club is designed to serve as a resource for students considering a career in any health-related career, such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, etc.
Our goal is to provide members with the opportunity to interact with other students with similar career interests, meet medical professionals, and gain information that will help them choose a career path and prepare them for that profession.
Activities include presentations by medical school admissions representatives, MCAT and medical school preparation seminars, CPR classes, and graduate student panels, consisting of presentations and Q&A sessions with current students in a variety of medical fields.
The Pizza with Professionals program is also extremely valuable because it allows club members to meet in a casual environment with a variety of health professionals and discuss and learn about what itÍs really like to be a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, etc. Club members also enjoy volunteering with the kids at ShrinerÍs Children's Hospital and at Red Cross blood drives.
