The Black Empowerment Student Alliance promotes the ideals of Pan-Africanism, which is the unification of people of African descent, along with gaining a greater awareness of black culture and black presence within the UST community at-large. BESA also highlights the struggles, aspirations and victories of black people through events that emphasize academics, political awareness and social consciousness.
BESA seeks to educate the community regarding the ideals of Pan-Africanism, promote achievement, unity, and awareness in and of the black community. We hold several events on campus to bring students closer together
