Election Process

USG holds elections two times a year. The Fall elections include positions available for freshman class council as well as a variety of other open positions that were not filled in the spring elections for the upcoming year. Students who wish to run for a position will need to fill out a candidate election packet and bring this document to the mandatory candidates meeting in ASC 340 at 6:30pm on Thursday, September 11th.

Timeline

September  6 Election packets available  ASC 325 or USG Website
September 11 Mandatory candidates meeting and election Packets due ASC 340 at 6:30pm
September  12 Campaigning begins at 9am  
September 16 Last day to withdraw as a candidate from the election  
September 17-19 Voting begins at 10am on Wednesday and concludes at 6pm on Friday  
September 20-21 USG retreat for elected representatives YMCA Camp Ihduhapi
