Stay Involved

You don't have to run for a USG position to still be involved in our mission. All of our meetings are open to the public and take place every other Thursday over Convo hour in Woulfe Alumni Hall so feel free to stop by and hear what we are up to! You can also get involved directly with your class council that is run by each of the class presidents to sponsor events for your classmates. Email one of your representatives from the Member Directory to stay involved with USG.

2017-2018 Election Timeline

April 5 - Election packets will be available inside the Campus Life Office, ASC 325, and on the USG website, stthomas.edu/usg.

April 11- USG Elections Information Sessions at noon and 5pm, USG Office, ASC 314. 

April 13 - All candidate forms are due no later than NOON. Please turn into the Department of Campus Life in ASC 325.

April 13 - Candidate Statements are due to Margaret Cahill via email. (mdcahill@stthomas.edu)

April 13 - Mandatory Candidate Meeting will be held to educate candidates about USG and the elections process. This meeting will be at noon in ASC South Woulfe and all candidates are required to attend. Candidate photos will be taken at this time (Students unable to attend this meeting must meet with the Director of Campus Life before 3pm on April 13th). 

April 14 - Campaigning may begin at 10am.

April 18 - Executive Board Candidate Open Forum at noon in Scooters.

April 25 - Voting starts at 10:00 am.

April 27 - Voting ends at 4:00 pm.

April 27 - Candidates will be notified of election results by 8:00pm.

September 17-18 - New council attends 2-day/overnight retreat at Camp Iduhapi.
