Thomas sharp for Men's Track

Joe Thomas placed first in the triple jump (43-4)
and second in the high jump (6-8 3-4) to lead the
Tommie men's indoor track and field team at
Saturday's non-team scored St. Cloud State Husky
Invite.
Thomas led the Toms' 1-3-4-5 run in the triple jump
as Ben Garbe (41-0 3-4), Mike Draxton (41-0) and
Eric Liang (39-7 1-4) placed third through fifth.
Jerrod Gray placed fourth in the high jump (6-0
3-4). In the long jump, Jason Peterson (21-3) and
Andrew Kisilius (20-4) placed second and fourth.
Soph Carson Glad placed third in both the 60-meter
dash (7.09) and 200 dash (22.50). Tom Hart was sixth
in the 200 (23.05).
Brian Preus, (4:24.2), Levi Severson (4:25.0), Brock
Stepan (4:25.1) and Nate Coleman (4:31.7 placed
1-2-3-6 in the mile.
In the 400, transfer Robert Ware (50.40) and soph
Jason Schwietz (50.60) placed third and fourth. In
the 800, Shawn Lohman (2:01.8), Brian Hauge
(2:01.82) and Brian Limmer (2:02.36) placed 2-3-5.
In the 1,000, Corey Fusco placed fourth (2:35.59).
The Toms rested their top 400-meter runners and
clocked 3:30.77 for fifth in the 4x400. UST also
placed fourth in the 4x800 (8:18.93).
