Men's Track wins two events at Mac Twilight

The St. Thomas men's track and field team sent a partial team to Wednesday's non-team scored Macalester Twilight Meet and came home with five top-two finishes.

The Toms won the 4x100 relay in 42.02. Derek Marks won the discus in 168-2 and was fourth in the hammer (159-0). Mark O'Connell was third in the shot put (47-5 1-2) and fifth in the hammer (158-9).

Logan O'Grady was second in the 1,500 (4:02.85). Sam Moen was second in the long jump (21-11 3-4). Chris Bradford was second in the 100 meters (10.93) and sixth in the long jump (20-7). Kyle Jepson was fifth in the 100 (11.03) and sixth in the 200 (22.90). Cameron Roemhildt was third in the triple jump (42-3 1-2). In the 400 hurdles, Greg Dowe was sixth (57.47) and Brian Welle was seventh (57.73).

The Toms will send some athletes to the Drake Relays in Des Moines this weekend, and some to Gustavus for a Saturday competition.
