We would like to extend an invitation to explore the track and field tradition at the University of St. Thomas. The track and field program at St. Thomas is the most successful track and field program in the MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference). Our program has captured twenty of the last twenty two outdoor MIAC titles and twenty-one consecutive indoor championship (no other team has ever won the indoor crown). Additionally UST track and field athletes have consistently placed well at the NCAA national championships, producing an average of five All-American's per year over the last twenty five years.

We are extremely proud of these accomplishments and hope to include you on our roster, as one striving to maintain the high standard of excellence established by those who have come before you. If maintaining a standard of excellence is important to you, we would ask that you aspire to a level of performance higher than you have ever achieved.

Track and field is a demanding sport and to achieve success one must be willing to make sacrifices; success in any endeavor requires dedication, perseverance, commitment and mental toughness. Each day, each week, there will be a new encounter, a new challenge, waiting for someone to respond.

We are confident the University of St. Thomas Track and Field program will provide you with the opportunity to do something you enjoy, motivate you to accomplish things you previously only dreamed about, and afford the opportunity to make life-long friends. Our philosophy of academics first, athletics second - will offer great balance and to a fulfilling college experience.

If maintaining a standard of excellence is important to you and, if having fun while experiencing individual and team success is what you're looking for, then I ask you to look closely at what St. Thomas has to offer,

We look forward to continuing the era of excellence and extend the invitation for you to join us.
