Choosing
the right college is a very important decision and takes a lot of
thought and time. There are many factors you must look at in
deciding the best overall school for your needs. Each program is
unique in it's own way and just because a college has a good
program does not mean it's right for you. Some colleges tend to
run higher mileage, while others run less, but at a faster pace.
The
following form is to help you decide what school is best for you.
In the columns on top, you put in the schools you are looking at.
Then in each space rank each element from 1-10. In overall
importance rank each element from 1-10 in how important that
specific element is to you. Multiply the importance by the score
for each school in finding the total. For example if academics is
ranked as an 8 in terms of importance to you and you ranked
Stanford as a 10 for academics you would have an 80 for the total.
improvement refers to how well runners normally improve at that
school. If a team wins a national xc title with 3 national
footlocker champions and two runner-up finishers that doesn't mean
they improved as much as the 4th place team who didn't have any
footlocker finalists in the top 5. However, if that 4th place team
had all foreigners it is hard to compare because you never know
how fast the foreigners actually ran in high school.

Word and then print it out.
