Javelin Coach Gabe Berntson

Coach Berntson begins his eigth year as UST's javelin specialist. 

 "It's such an advantage to have a coach like Gabe on staff!  He's an amazing student of the sport and is able to translate his knowledge into the making of champions.

Since javelin is not a regional high school event, all the MIAC  javelin throwers (and most in NCAA III) start with absolutely no prior experience.  This is where St. Thomas has a huge advantage...Gabe  specializes in the event and literally develops top notch throwers.  He's responsible for building our strong javelin tradition!"   Coach Mathre
