The University of St. Thomas

 
The Tommie Award is presented each spring to a University of St. Thomas senior who, according to UST students, faculty and staff, best represents the ideals of St. Thomas Aquinas through scholarship, leadership, and campus involvement. To be eligible for nomination candidates must be a UST senior graduating no later than December of the award year and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75. The Tommie Award was formerly known as the Tommy Award and first presented as the "Mr. Tommy" award in 1931.

2010 Tommie Award Nomination and Voting process

Nominations for 2010 are now closed

Voting:

All current faculty, staff, and students are eligible to vote for three nominees during the preliminary voting in December, and then one of three finalists during final voting in February. All voting will occur online during the three day voting periods using a link provided daily in the UST Bulletin Today. Additional information on each nominee or finalist will be provided during the voting period.

The Tommie Award is presented annually at the St. Thomas Day dinner, usually held on the first Saturday of March. Award recipients will be asked to provide brief comments at the Spring Semester Commencement Ceremony.
