Dr. Frederick D. Aquino will speak on "Pursuing Wisdom in an Information Age: Critical Reflections on Newman’s Idea of a University"
 
Frederick Aquino is Professor of Theology and Philosophy in the Graduate School of Theology, Abilene Christian University. Some of his publications include Communities of Informed Judgment (CUA, 2004), An Integrative Habit of Mind (NIU, 2012), and a recently co-edited volume (with Benjamin King), Receptions of Newman (OUP, 2015). The lecture will explore the relevance of Newman’s thought for thinking about acquiring wisdom in an information age.
