Course Description:
This course is a comparison of the teachings and practices of Christianity with the teachings and practices of selected non-Christian religions, for example, American Indian (Lakota), Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. The aim of the course will be to clarify similarities and differences between Christianity and other religions, to reflect on the problem posed by religious pluralism in modern culture, and to develop a Christian theology of world religions. This course fulfills the Human Diversity requirement in the core curriculum. Prerequisite: THEO 101 (or 102 and 103) and one 200-level or 300-level THEO course, and PHIL 115
