Recyclemaniais the collegiate recycling competition promoting waste reduction and recycling 
on campuses across the nation. Over a 10-week period, schools report recycling and trash data
which is used to rank each campus against others in the competition. Categories include the largest
amount of recyclables per capita, the largest amount of total recyclables, the least amount of 
trash per capita, and the highest overall recycling rate. In 2010, UST was third in the state for best
overall recycling rate. This year St. John's has entered the competition! So let's pitch in and show 
Minnesota and the nation how much UST recycles!

Oct 17-Dec 15 '08 Hard Rain Project:
The Hard Rain Project is an open air photographic exhibit illustrating the lyrics of Bob Dylan's 
song "A Hard Rains A-Gonna Fall". Artist, Mark Edwards, in an open letter to world leaders
described his exhibit: " Bob Dylan’s piercing words accompany photographs that illustrate the
issues that are defining the 21st century – climate change, pollution, poverty and habitat loss.
Essays by leading scientists and thinkers in the environmental movement explore the steps we
must take to prevent global collapse." The Hard Rain Project has been exhibited to critical
acclaim at the United Nations and is on a continuing world tour. The exhibit will be displayed on
the UST quad and will be the first in Dylan's home state of Minnesota.
