Category: "A Sense of Place"
First Place "January on the Prinsengracht Canal"
Photo by Lindsay Kockelman; Amsterdam, Netherlands. "This photo was taken just after visiting the Anne Frank House and Museum. The bicycle is representative of the culture, as nearly everyone has a bicycle and uses it as their main mode of transportation within the small city. The houseboats along the canal are a common sight, as nearly every inch of the canal is lined with these 'mobile homes on water'."
Second Place "Camel Caravan"
Photo by Theresa Heath; Morocco, Northern Africa. "My friends and I had signed up for a trip out of Marrakech and one night we rode camels into the Sahara. We watched the sun rise the next morning and left camp, trekking out throught the dunes in the sunlight."
Third Place "Athenian Ruins"
Photo by Lisa Patrice Harper; Athens, Greece.
Category: "An Intercultural Experience" First Place "Ireland: A Glimpse of What it Perhaps Had Been"
Photo by Lisa Patrice Harper; Dublin, Ireland. "On my way to the touristy Guinness Museum in Dublin, Ireland, I passed down an old alley and encountered an elderly man and his horse. After snapping a picture of him, he asked for a donation. Could this be all that is left of Dublin as Americans perceive it to be?"
Second Place "Let's Fly Away"

Third Place "Changing of the Guards"
