Registration for Your Off-Campus Program

Registration for Your Off-Campus Program

Semester and Year-Long Programs

Students remain registered as full-time St. Thomas students for the duration of their time abroad, provided all necessary study abroad paperwork has been completed.

Students who have applied through and been approved by International Education will be registered into a study abroad registration for the term(s) they are abroad.

International Education registers you for your study abroad term. You cannot register for SABD (study abroad) or drop your study abroad term from Murphy Online.

More information about registration for study abroad will be discussed in the Pre-Departure Meetings.

Short-Term Programs

International Education will register you with the St. Thomas Office of the Registrar. You do not register via MURPHY. If applying for a spring-embedded program, you will register via MURPHY once you have received the permission of the faculty director.

For all programs, you will not be registered if:

  • You have a Business Office hold because your UST account is not current (paid- to-date)
  • You have a health hold on your record
  • You have any other hold
  • You have applied for a course for which you have not fulfilled the prerequisites or sought departmental permission, if required.
