Passport Information
You must have a valid United States passport to leave or enter the United States. This passport information document summarizes the application process. Processing the application can take up to four months, so do not wait until the last minute to apply! International Education does not provide you with a passport. We recommend the US State Department web site for complete passport information, application and location of passport offices.
Keep a photocopy of the page with your photo and signature separate from your passport. In the event of your passport being lost or stolen, this will speed up the replacement process. Immediately report a lost or stolen passport to the U.S. consulate and U.S. officials will direct you as to what to do.
