To Apply: Short-term Programs

Planning for January Term, June Term and other Short-Term Programs

1. Research all of your options by coming to the International Education Center (IEC) resource library or by looking over the choices on this site. Read individual program descriptions to choose a program that meets your academic needs.

2. Discuss plans with your academic advisor. Sort out how an off-campus experience will fit in to your degree plan.

3. When you have a program in mind meet with Student Financial Services to discuss costs. Also see Financing Short-term Programs

4. Apply! Download application forms.

5. If you are interested in co-sponsored summer programs, you should meet with a Study Abroad Advisor at the IEC.

6. You must apply for all short-term off-campus programs through International Education to receive St. Thomas credit and financial aid.

7. Submit ALL application materials to the International Education Center by the deadline listed on your short-term application checklist.  Click Here for Deadlines

8. After approval by International Education, submit all other required forms and attend the Short-term Orientation for your program. Orientations are required.
