Student Health Insurance Plan for 2009-2010
Who is eligible?
All degree seeking students taking 1 or more credits are eligible to purchase the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan. All degree seeking undergraduate students taking 12 or more credits and graduate, law and professional students taking 9 or more credits are required to purchase the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan unless they demonstrate coverage under another health plan. Students will be asked to submit their health insurance information each semester by the enrollment deadlines. All International students with an F-1 or J-1 visa are automatically enrolled in the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan. F-1 visa students have the opportunity to request a waiver if they show proof of comparable coverage.
How And When Do I Enroll in the Plan?
Students enroll in Murphy Online. For fall 2009, the online enrollment will begin August 1st. The $429 premium will be added to their student account.
To enroll spouses and/or dependents, students should contact Aetna Student Health at www.aetnastudenthealth.com.
All International students with an F-1 or J-1 visa are automatically enrolled in and billed for the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan. If students on an F-1 visa have comparable coverage, they may request a waiver through Murphy Online. They must request the waiver before the open enrollment period closes.
