Science, Technology, & Engineering Preview Summer (STEPS)

Science, Technology, and Engineering Preview Summer (STEPS) is an introduction to the exciting world of science, technology and engineering.

Girls with STEPS project 2014

Building on the success of the STEPS programs hosted at the University of St. Thomas since 2000, five engineering day programs will be offered in the summer 2016. The program will begin and end at the Arlington Hills Community Center in St. Paul, MN and include a trip to the Univeristy of St. Thomas, School of Engineering. At the Arlington Hills Community Center STEPS participants will utilize the Createch Studio, as they connect with mentors and resources that they can access throughout their high school careers. At the Univesity of St. Thomas participants will work in the engineering labs and unwind with University of St. Thomas recreation facilites with engineering students and faculty. We hope to expose children to potential engineering careers, college life and ignite an interest in science/technology/engineering.
