NESC Appreciation Award
This award is presented annually to an hourly staff member who meets criteria based in the seven convitions of the University of St. Thomas Mission Statement: *Pursuit of Truth *Academic Excellence *Faith and Reason *Dignity *Diversity * Personal Attention *Gratitude.

Engages in Volunteer Involvement beyond the job, within or outside the University

UST (Commencement, family Week-End, Move-In, etc).

Community (Loaves and Fishes, Meals-On-Wheels).

Life-Long Learner/Active Participant

Takes advantage of learning opportunities (i.e., Leadership Academy).

Supports and attends lectures, concerts and UST sporting events.

Extends a Helping/Welcoming Hand to others

Welcomes new staff members.

Assists or provides support for a member of the UST community that is going through hardship, such as illness, death of family member, etc.
