Message from the Rector

Callaghan, Msgr. Aloysius 2005 (188x235)

The Saint Paul Seminary is the heart of the local Church, preparing and forming men for the priesthood and to be the light of Christ for the people of God. The seminary is necessary for priestly formation since it provides essential training and development after the model of Jesus Christ who was teacher, priest, and shepherd.

The Saint Paul Seminary prepares men for priesthood by instilling in them an abiding priestly identity and an ardent desire for priestly ministry while forming in them the true heart of a shepherd.

Message from the Dean

Welcome to The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity!

For men preparing for ordained ministry as a Roman Catholic priest, I encourage you to explore our Master of Divinity seminary program. Faithful to Saint John Paul II's Apostolic Exhortation Pastores dabo vobis and the National Council of Catholic Bishops' Program of Priestly Formation, we offer a vigorous experience of human, intellectual, spiritual and pastoral formation as preparation for priestly ministry in today's Church. Thoroughly immersed in the Roman Catholic tradition, our program strives to witness to a deep and abiding commitment to serve those who are called to be shepherds of the Church.
