International students are encouraged and welcome to apply to a degree program of The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity. When a prospective international graduate student completes their application to The School of Divinity, a decision will be made by the Admissions Committee. The student will then need to submit the documents listed in the University of St. Thomas International Admissions Graduate Application Checklist.
- TOEFL (must submit official score report)
Test of English as a Foreign Language-minimum score of 550 Paper Based TOEFL (PBT), 213 for the computer-based test or a total score of 80 for the internet based test (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 for both the writing and speaking sections of the test. The St. Thomas TOEFL code is 6110. Test scores must be current within two years.
- MELAB (must submit official score report)
(Michigan English Language Assessment Battery-minimum score 80). Test scores must be current within two years and must be accompanied by an official letter from the testing coordinator.
- IELTS (must submit official score report)
Minimum score 6.5. Test scores must be current within two years.
Important Dates: Please schedule your TOEFL, IELTS, or MELAB test date before November 1 if you are applying to a spring term. Please schedule your TOEFL, IELTS, or MELAB test date before May 1 if you are applying to a fall term.
