Graduate Degree Programs

Have you been called to teach, lead, inspire, create or discover? Regardless of your previous academic experience or your current vocation, a graduate degree in theology will provide the opportunity for human, intellectual, spiritual and pastoral formation. The formation of the whole person is necessary preparation for serving others in the context of your faith.

Our graduate degree programs enable men and women to engage fully their baptismal call to a deepened faith, to broadened knowledge, and to a full and active role of servant leadership in the Church.

The Master of Arts in Theology, Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry and Master of Arts in Religious Education degree programs are all offered in an evening format that allows our students to balance work, family, and their continuing education. You may choose to be a full- or part-time student. Full-time students can complete the Master of Arts in Theology degree within two years and the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry or Master of Arts in Religious Education in three years.

During the academic year, each three-credit class meets one evening a week on the University of St. Thomas' south campus. During the summer term, we offer four sessions, each class meeting everyday for two weeks. This allows those who live outside of the metro area to complete a degree by attending summers only.
