"Saint John Marie-Baptiste Vianney once said, 'The eyes of the world see no further than this life, but the eyes of Christians see deep into eternity.'
The seminary, which is in a certain sense at the heart of the life of the local Church, prepares and forms men to see and to be the light of Christ for the people of God.
'To see Thee more clearly . . .' is the challenge for the one who must act in the person of Christ. Purity of heart is an essential quality for all, but most especially for the one who is to be a steward and administrator of God's mysteries, a living instrument of forgiveness and grace, a minister of the Word that saves.
Those who support the seminary through their prayers and their gifts help those studying to see and to be the light of Christ in a new millennium as His priests."
The Rector's annual fund provides the financial resources to meet our yearly program and operating expenses. Tuition and fees charged to seminarians and students cover approximately half of the actual cost of their education. The remaining 50%, approximately, $25,000 per student per year, is made up through the annual gifts received and investment revenue from our endowment funds.
Annual giving is composed of gifts received from individuals, foundations, parishes, alumni, and corporate employee matching gift programs. To contribute to our Rector's annual fund or for more information, please contact: Cheryl Booms, Associate Director of Institutional Advancement at 651-962-5055 or e-mail cabooms@stthomas.edu.
