Archbishop Ireland Memorial Library Lectures

The Ireland Library lecture series highlights The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity faculty and invited guests in their presentation of academic work and focused areas of study. Ireland lectures are free and open to the public. Transcripts and recordings of these presentations are available through the Archbishop Ireland Memorial Library.

The next Ireland Lecture will be on October 16, 2017. Sr. Katarina Schuth, O.S.F., Ph.D., Professor Emerita/Endowed Chair for the Social Scientific Study of Religion, will present insights from her most recent book, Seminary Formation: Recent History-Current Circumstances-New Directions (Liturgical Press 2016). She will explore the evolution and development of seminaries and anticipate challenges and principles to guide the future.
