Father Fehn has served as priest chaplain for Fairview Southdale and Methodist hospitals since 1985. As a member of the Minnesota Army National Guard, he will serve as Assistant Brigade chaplain for the Bosnia deployment in October 2003 for six months.
Following his ordination he returned to the seminary and completed the master of pastoral studies program in 1989. As a youth he was involved in Boy Scouts and currently is the regional chaplain for Catholic scouts for North and South Dakota and Minnesota. Since 1978 he has served as Defender of the Bond for the marriage tribunal for the archdiocese and spent three years as chaplain to the deaf community.
Fr. Fehn was chosen by the committee for his dedicated ministry to the sick through his hospital chaplaincy, for his specialized ministry to the hearing impaired, as chaplain to the Boy Scouts of America, and service as a military chaplain.
