Archbishop Harry J. Flynn

Distinguished Alumni Award (2008)

On April 24, 2008, honorary alumnus Archbishop Harry J. Flynn received the seminary's 14th annual Distinguished Alumni Award.  In his 13 years as archbishop of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, and as chairman of the seminary's board of trustees, he has encouraged many priestly vocations and taken an active role in ensuring excellence in priestly formation at The Saint Paul Seminary.  "In this archdiocese, and beyond, Archbishop Flynn has been a shepherd to so many," comments Msgr. Aloysius Callaghan.  "His love of the Lord and His Church has been a witness to many men discerning a priestly vocation."
