Introduction to Sociology, Statistics, Research Methods, Sexuality, Political Sociology, and Family Violence  

Dr. Waldner has published extensively in several journals including: Violence and Victims, Youth and Society, Journal of Political and Military Sociology, Sociological Imagination, Research in Political Sociology, and the Journal of Homosexuality on a variety of topics including gay skinheads, anti-gay hate crimes, domestic violence, sexual coercion, AIDS education, identity issues of lesbian and gay adolescents, and political participation. In 2006 she received the Undergraduate Research and Collaborative Scholarship award for her work with students. Prior to joining the faculty at St, Thomas, she received three awards for teaching including the Enron teaching excellence award from the University of Houston-Downtown.
