Master of Social Work Student Association (MSWSA)

The MSW Student Association aims to enhance the quality of student life by providing peer support, social opportunities, career networking, professional development, community outreach and volunteering opportunities for all MSW students.

Any degree-seeking student currently enrolled in the MSW program is a member of the MSW Student Association. The MSWSA acts as official representation of the MSW student body at St. Catherine University and the University of St. Thomas.

VOLUNTEER:

Service projects, donation drives.

NETWORK:

Social events for students and faculty.  

LEARN:

Advocate for yourself and your Clients.  Local campaigns to reduce poverty. 

Get involved.  Plan projects.  Participate.

Annual activities include:

Social Work Day at the Capitol; Open Baskets and "Dash-it-for-Baskets 5k" service projects; "Navigating the System" from graduation to clinical licensure; licensure information sessions and LGSW licensure exam reviews; donation drives for the IPC; Student Justice Initiative (SJI); end-of-year social events, and more!
