Practice Experience:
- Senior Director, Mental Health Resources, St. Paul, MN, 2005 - 2007: Provided clinical supervision and administrative oversight to programs serving adults with serious and persistent mental illness throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Responsible for service delivery and outcomes in the agency's Assertive Community Treatment, Rule 29/Mental Health Outreach Clinic, Rule 79/Targeted Case Management, Metro Intensive (pilot project with UBH, HealthPartners, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Minnesota and DHS) and ARMHS programs. Leadership role in organizational management, including the development and implementation of services and programming, quality improvement, compliance, committees, strategic planning, budgets, staff development, inter-cultural competence initiative, electronic health record, HIPAA privacy, contracts, policies and procedures. Coordinated Consumer Advisory Board and student internship program. Agency was awarded "Provider of the Year" in 2006 by NAMI-MN.

Leadership role in agency’s clinical services, including risk management, utilization management, multi-disciplinary care coordination, crisis assessment and intervention and 24 hour clinical on-call, as well as in agency's organizational development, including electronic medical records, professional services, security and new programs. Team lead for intensive outreach team, managing clinical and administrative aspects of program and providing consultation, crisis intervention and in-home and community-based individual and family therapy. Psychotherapist for children of all ages and their families. Additional roles while at North Central Counseling Services included: Conditional Release Supervisor, managing clinical care of persons found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity and released to the community; Clinical Instructor for Smith College School for Social Work, supervising masters-level social work interns in clinical field placement; OBRA Evaluator, completing mental health, risk and needs assessments of nursing home residents with a history of serious mental illness; Mental Health Consultant - Head Start, providing consultation to staff and assessment, referral and crisis intervention to pre-school aged children.
- Therapist (1992 - 1997) and HIV Program Coordinator/Case Manager (1994 - 1995), Family Service of Chester County, West Chester, PA, 1992 - 1997:
- Psychotherapy with individuals, couples and families and psycho-educational groups for children and adults. Screening, referral and treatment through EAP, private and public payor systems. Assisted HIV+ clients and their families in accessing resources and worked with regional administrators to coordinate service delivery to HIV+ persons throughout the region. Supervised MSW students in field practicum.
