This workshop will provide an overview of the complexities of leading organizational change. Leading change within an organization requires specific knowledge and skills. Grounded in current literature and practice, this workshop will explore common challenges and provide strategies to address them, with an emphasis on THE PHENOMENON of parallel process. Organization and program change parallel the change process that occurs between staff and clients. This workshop will identify the key stages and strategies in leading organization and program changes.

Objectives:
1.  Increase knowledge of and practical application of the parallel process in change initiatives
2.  Understand the importance of providing compelling rational for the proposed change
3.  Develop knowledge and skills in establishing “shared meaning” about how people change and the purpose of supervision
4.  Explore the importance of staff engagement and “’buy-in” and strategies to increase both
5.  Examine the role of effective and bi-directional communication
