Summary:
Dr. Shedler will discuss the seven essential features of contemporary psychodynamic treatment, the empirical evidence for its benefits, and how it compares to other treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and antidepressant medication.
Objective:

2.Understand the concepts of effect size and meta-analysis and their role in evaluating the benefits of therapy.
3.Describe the empirical evidence supporting psychodynamic therapy.
