Attention and Interpretation Therapy (AIT) is an integrative approach to therapy recently developed at Mayo Clinic to decrease symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression and to enhance well-being, resilience, and mindfulness. In this workshop, you will develop a pragmatic understanding of the neuropsychology of stress and brain processes underlying two aspects of human experience: attention and interpretation. The workshop will explore reasons behind the mind's restlessness and irrationality and the paradox of thought suppression. You will learn inspiring and active wats to integrate AIT into your life and to develop skills you can use in your work with clients and patients. AIT training will enhance your gratitude focus, cultivate instinctive compassion, creatively work with "what is", discover life's higher meaning, and strengthen your forgiveness skills. Application of these skills to daily life and work with clients will be presented.
