Other Social Media

They're familiar and generating most of the buzz around social media. But other technologies are popping up constantly. They may be fun and new, but are they relevant in a higher-education setting? Or worth your valuable time?

That's another purpose of the New Media Initiatives Group.

The group looks at these new options, experiments a little, and researches them. If the technology is something that could help recruitment, alumni engagement, fundraising or general visibility, NMIG will talk about it and share what they find.

But there MANY of those kinds of technologies, and the group can't research them all. If you know of one that seems to have potential for use at St. Thomas, send NMIG an email, and we'll share it with others who are dabbling in social media on behalf of St. Thomas.
