I am a Saudi National seeking an Ed.D degree in Organizational Development from the University of St. Thomas in May 2014. I earned a B.S. in Architectural & Civil Engineering from the University of Miami, FL (1981), and an MA degree in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University where I build a great interest in working with the Service Learning field. My Master’s Capstone’s topic was: Capacity Building of Volunteering Among Young People in Saudi Arabia: A Look at Service-Learning.
With 30 years of professional experience working with both government and private corporations in Saudi Arabia that includes: 1) Executive Management work at Jeddah Municipality, 2) General Manager of Durrat Alarus Real-Estate Development Company, and 3) Senior Executive Management positions executing Mega-Projects at Dallah Group, a conglomerate of Saudi institutions I bring a lot of experience to service learning and international education. Additionally, my previous undergraduate and current graduate studies at well-reputed U.S. institutions positioned me well to work in a Liaison Officer role between Saudi and international institutions. I look forward to building many opportunities local and global with the University of St. Thomas.
