Multi-Functional Device, (MFD) Program

updated 4/23/08

Order MFD Supplies On-Line HERE (RFS) or HERE (SCOOP!)

SCOOP! is new, and preferred, but UST's Request For Service still works: Log-on, choose "Service Center" under the "Main Menu", then choose "MFD/Copier Supplies"

How to PLACE A SERVICE REQUEST

  1. All repair/service requests will initially be taken by UST's IRT Client Services at 2-6230, or IRTHelp@stthomas.edu They will determine how to proceed, and dispatch the Marco Service Tech on your behalf if necessary. When you contact Client Services, please be prepared with the model number, serial number, location of machine, the contact person and phone number, along with a brief description of the problem, e.g., "Constant paper jams", or "Bad copy quality".

RECYCLING of all laser-based printer, and MFD/Copier cartridges at UST

1. Every new box of toner for laser printers and MFD's will either have a pre-paid UPS, black & white barcoded return label in it, or a colored sticky-back label. If there's both labels inside, use the UPS pre-paid and barcoded label for the box that will have the old cartridge in it. HP printer and MFD toner cartridges that are in HP boxes will likely have a UPS pre-paid black and white label. Cartridges for HP printers that are in MARCO boxes will likely include sticky-back labels that are on printed on colored stock for easy identification.

2. UPS labeled boxes with used/spent cartridges can be put with your outgoing intercampus mail, which will go back to the manufacturer for appropriate refilling or recycling.

3. Boxes that have colored sticky-back labels affixed to them containing used/spent cartridges will be routed from your department to either the Minneapolis Service Center (TMH LL02) or St Paul Campus Mail Services (MHC 12 Mail# 7999). From there, Marco will pick up the used cartridges and return/recycle those that are able to meet specifications.

4. Please order MFD supplies online using SCOOP! HERE . Click on the ORDER tab at the top to begin the Login process. Then select Toner, Staples for leased Copiers/MFD\'s & Printers for either Minneapolis or St. Paul. For more information on SCOOP!, click HERE.

5. If there are any questions about this recycling program, please call Martha Stahl in Minneapolis at 2-4040 mvstahl@stthomas.edu, or Nina Ruud in St Paul 2-6352 nfruud@stthomas.edu

Please keep your MFD "ON" at all times-

It will go to sleep when the time is right. This will allow the automated meter-reading function work properly. This feature will be used soon.
