Healthy Cooking Just for You
Course Instructor: Ken Grogg is the Executive Chef for the University of St. Thomas. He joined the UST staff in February 2010, and is a seasoned veteran of the food industry. He was born in Indiana and grew up in Illinois. He came to Minnesota to go to a French culinary school, and has cooked at commercial restaurants (such as Bennigans) as well as at corporate venues. He spent 12 years as the chef at the governor’s mansion during the terms of Governors Rudy Perpich, Arne Carlson and Jesse Ventura. Most recently, he was the manager of product development for Caribou Coffee and a caterer for private clients and companies such as United Health Group and American Express.
Course Information: Wednesday Evenings, April 24-May 8, 2013 (3 sessions), 7:30-9:00 p.m., Anderson Student Center, The View (2nd Floor), UST St. Paul Campus
Course Description: During this three week course, Chef Ken Grogg will showcase culinary techniques to help support a healthy diet using recipes created for one or two. Cooking demonstrations, menu planning methods, and even shopping tips will be discussed in this fully interactive and lively course.
